The Wraith (1986) OST LP
These are in hand and shipping now! Club first (club takes about a week to ship to expect non-club copies to ship 2nd week of May). Club shipment will be The Pit and The Wraith together.
Terror Vision is blown away to offer the first-ever physical media release of Michael Hoenig & J. Peter Robinson’s under-appreciated Original Motion Picture Score to the 1986 cult classic The Wraith, available for the first time on vinyl and cassette.
---THE FILM
The Wraith follows a mysterious, otherworldly driver who appears in a small desert town and begins targeting a gang of street racers responsible for a brutal killing. As he challenges them one by one on the open road, each race turns deadly, revealing that this isn’t just revenge—it’s something far more supernatural.
Directed by Mike Marvin, The Wraith stars Charlie Sheen, Randy Quaid, Sherilyn Fenn, Clint Howard, and Nick Cassavetes. A sleeper at the box office, it found its audience through home video and cable, building a cult following off its cast, genre mash-up, and the presence of the Dodge Turbo Interceptor.
---THE SCORE
The Wraith leans heavily into a synth-driven score by Michael Hoenig and J. Peter Robinson, both known for their electronic work. Built on atmospheric pads and pulsing textures, it carries a sleek, neon-night vibe that locks into the desert street-racing aesthetic while tightening around the film’s action and horror edges. Michael Hoenig composed scores for The Gate and The Blob, and was a member of Tangerine Dream. J. Peter Robinson composed scores for Wes Craven’s New Nightmare and Return of the Living Dead Part II, and has worked with Eric Clapton, David Bowie, and Phil Collins.
