SLASHERS (2001) OST LP (Cellar Dweller)

from $24.99
Only 92 available

Cellar Dweller, a niche and uniquely curated offshoot of Terror Vision, is proud to offer the first-ever physical media release of Martin Gauthier’s score for the cult film $la$her$.

Slashers (directed by Maurice Devereaux, 2001) is Japan’s number-one extreme reality show—and it’s getting its first all-American special! Six lucky contestants, chosen from thousands of applicants, will have the chance to win millions of dollars, and all they have to do is stay alive. It’s Americans killing Americans on a Japanese reality show that’s equal parts Squid Game, The Running Man, Rockstar’s Manhunt, Rob Zombie’s 31, and Battle Royale—but even bloodier fun!

Gauthier’s score ricochets between clashing modes, bouncing from sleazy game-show stings and low-rent TV bumpers into cold horror textures. Pulsing techno, Carpenter-esque synth lines, and raw, stripped-down cues create a deliberate tonal whiplash, feeling closer to mockery than menace.

The film’s score sits firmly somewhere between early John Carpenter and the Dust Brothers, with a hint of Harry Manfredini’s dead-serious orchestration and even a little of Richard Band’s playfulness thrown in for good measure.

Expertly remastered by Nick Bassett from the original tapes for a superior listening experience, this extremely limited edition is presented on colored vinyl and pressed at Graveface Press, our new in-house vinyl facility.

Available as:

Game Show Gore (LTD to 100) - what you’ll receive by purchasing this on our site
